Author's Bio
Shannon Sheets is a rare breed, possessing both an affinity for numbers and a passion for prose. She graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, with a Finance degree, and has spent the past 27 years in a paying gig working in the commercial loan underwriting field. Known to her friends as the ‘numbers geek’, she would argue that numbers themselves tell a story.
After suffering through many years of bone chilling winters, and hellish summers in the Midwest, Shannon decided to adventure to Hawaii, where she now resides. Her obsession for storytelling drives her out of bed each morning at 5:30am, the only time she has to write before her full-time job.
Shannon thrives on writing psychological suspense involving common social issues. Stay tuned because there are more books to come. When she’s not creating killer spreadsheets or mind-boggling fiction, Shannon can usually be found stand-up-paddling off Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, and yes there really is such a thing and there is nothing weird about it. She also enjoys snorkeling at Shark’s Cove, but not to worry, the name is a misnomer.
On her vacation from her office job, Shannon likes to attend writing conferences, and most recently attended the New York Writers Workshop Fiction Pitch Conference in April 2019.
